Brassens is still with us
Georges Brassens’ nephew Serge Cazzani has entrusted INA with this archive footage, largely filmed by Brassens himself. Shot in 8mm and 16mm formats in the fifties and sixties, the films provide insights into Brassens’ private life in silent scenes that resemble rushes and sometimes home movies. They show Brassens in the Impasse Florimont in Paris, in Brittany, in Sète, and on tour... More than 36 years after Brassens’ death, he is still with us today, and has won the hearts of a new generation of French singers and songwriters.
